- Over half a million Austin DMA adults have taken a foreign vacation in the past three years and almost nine percent have taken three or more foreign trips in the past three years
- Almost half the Austin adult population has taken a domestic trip by air
- One million Austinites have stayed in a hotel/motel in the past 12 months and 14 percent have stayed in an upscale hotel
Audience
- Thirty-seven percent of Austin adults who took a foreign vacation in the past three years have children at home
- Among those that stayed at an upscale hotel, almost eight in ten are homeowners and 69 percent are married
- Forty-four percent of the air travelers in the past 12 months are age 35-54 and 38 percent have kids in the home
- Six in ten of those who took a European vacation in the past three years are college grads in a white collar profession
- Among those who went on a Caribbean vacation in the past three years, almost 69 percent are married and a quarter have children in the household
